Pre-Bafta Party

23 February 2010

Award season for cinema is upon us and as tradition dictates another glamorous crowd descended the stairs of Annabel’s to attend Charles’s pre-Bafta dinner on Saturday night. This year we were privileged to host a number of Bafta nominees including Colin Firth and Carey Mulligan who the next evening would be up on stage at London’s Royal Opera House to accept their Leading Actor/Actress awards. However on the night it was Paloma Faith that took centre stage after dinner and treated guests to a fabulous performance. After that no one seemed in a hurry to rush home and as many mingled with drinks others were lured to the dance floor by the beats Lily Allen and Alexa Chung were spinning, who shared a DJ set that kept the crowd happy until the wee hours of the morn! Chanel made sure that all attendees were suitably indulged with stunning goodie bags to leave with and this year guests were also treated to a silk scarf by Chucs. What’s Chucs you may ask? Well, watch this space as Charles gears up to launch a boutique store selling only the finest equipment for the sun, sea and mountains – something he has dreamed of for more than 20 years. Is there anything our Finch can’t do?
