Asprey Handbags

They say that when you’ve got it, flaunt it, and that is just what Asprey has decided to do with their new collection of bags. Flaunting their 229 years of history by naming the bag ‘1781′ and producing it in a variety of skins and colours with names like amethyst and peridot, it is hard to ignore just how spectacularly these capture the Asprey zeitgeist.
The name is not the only nod to Asprey’s heritage though, with the design being based on an early travel bag, a modern update of which they are also debuting this season alongside other vintage-chic clutches and purses. And, although the colours and skins available are diverse, sometimes wild, and always distinct, there is an heir of simplicity and understatement that pervades the whole line. Details, such as suede linings, gold or silver-plated fittings, and shapes of the bags themselves (obviously historically inspired, but anything but antiquated looking) all give the appearance of effortless, time-tested Asprey chic.
